Astrove Foods Inc. (“ASTROVE”, “we”) runs astrove.ca. This page explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Astrove Foods Inc., C500–2676 Wilfert Road, Victoria, BC V9B 5Z3, Canada.
Our Privacy Officer is accountable for the personal information we hold. Write to the Privacy Officer, Astrove Foods Inc., at the address above or at support@astrove.ca.
What we collect, and why
Email sign-up. If you join the list, we collect your email address and your consent, and use them only to send ASTROVE news and launch updates for Canada.
Business enquiries. If you send the For business form, we collect what you enter: your name, work email, company, city and province, any optional details and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to discuss your enquiry. The form sends them to Klaviyo, our email service, which passes them to our team. Sending an enquiry doesn’t add you to our mailing list. If the form can’t be sent and you email us instead, we receive your email and the details in it.
Emails to support@astrove.ca. We use what you write to answer you.
We don’t collect anything else through the site.
Cookies and tracking
astrove.ca sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. For that visit only, and on your own device, your browser remembers whether you turned the sound on and that the opening has already played.
Who else handles your information
Klaviyo, our email service, keeps the sign-up list and the enquiries sent through the For business form, and sends our emails. It may store your information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible under local law.
Our website host and our content delivery network see technical information that every website receives, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
Your sign-up email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Business enquiries and support emails: as long as we need them to deal with your request and for the records the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent, by writing to our Privacy Officer at support@astrove.ca. We’ll answer within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
